For people who love food, growing up in Israel is like spending time in an amusement park of endless flavors. The melting pot of immigrants who came there from all over the world in addition to neighboring Arab countries created a huge variety of cuisines that star in Israeli food culture.

The selection is huge, the quality is excellent, and the taste is out of this world. 

 

As soon as we moved to Amsterdam, we looked for the places that would make us feel a little more at home. Javastraat (Java Street) is exactly that place for us. Javastraat is the backbone of the Indische buurt (Indies neighborhood) - a hipster neighborhood that combines designer shops, cafes, and concept stores along with great bakeries, small groceries, and lovely Middle Eastern restaurants.

On this tour, we will take you on a journey to the Middle East, the Mediterranean, the Balkans and North Africa

without even stamping your passport.

We will introduce you to the places where we like to eat the most, we will tell you which dish you should try in each place, and we will introduce you to flavors that you didn’t know before.  

 

We have collected the best of the best of the foods, places, and stories that bring us happiness and make our stomachs growl just from the thought of them. 3 hours, some stories and lots of tasty treats, so don’t say we didn’t tell you to come hungry.
